Kerala Navjeevan Scheme 2024

Kerala Government has come up with a new Scheme Known as the Navjeevan Scheme to provide Self-employment for Senior Citizens aged between 50-65 and who are Registered with Employment Exchanges in Kerala. Under this Scheme, a Loan of a Maximum of Rs. 50,000  will be provided to those senior Citizens who are unemployed in the State. 

The Government will give 25% Subsidy and it will be deposited in the Entrepreneur’s Loan Account Directly. Repayment and Interest will be Subject to the Rules of Financial Institutions. Under this Scheme, no Collateral is Required for Loan Sanction because it will be given under the Credit Guarantee Scheme. 

Objectives of Kerala Navjeevan Scheme

• To Promote Self Employment in the State with the Navjeevan Scheme.
• To Provide benefits to those who are Senior Citizens and are unemployed.
• To provide Rs. 50,000 as a Loan to all the Benefits without any guarantee.
• The government will provide 25% of the loan as a subsidy to the beneficiaries.

Benefits of Navjeevan Scheme Kerala

• Candidates who are Registered in the Kerala Employment Exchange will be benefited through this Scheme.
• Beneficiaries will get a loan of a maximum Rs. 50,000 to set up their business 
• 25% of the loan amount will be deposited to the Entrepreneur’s Loan Account by the Government of Kerala.
• 25% of the loan Sanctioned will be Made available to Women. 
• 25% of the Loan Sanctioned will be given to the Below Poverty Line Category.

• Only Residents of Kerala are Eligible for this Scheme.
• Applicants’ age must be Between 50 to 65 years. 
• Candidates should be Registered in the Employment Exchange Kerala.
• Personal Annual Income of the Applicant should not exceed Rs. 1 Lakh.
• Priority will be given to those Candidates who are renewing their Employment Exchange Registration.
• Widows aged above 55 years and Differently Abled will be Considered First.

Kerala Navajeevan Loan Scheme Application Form 

• Visit the Official Website of the Kerala Employment Department.
• Click on the Schemes Section given on the Homepage.
• Now Select the Navajeevan Scheme from the List.
• Click on the Download Navajeevan Application Form.
• Now fill out the Application Form with the Necessary Details.
• Fill the Address, Bank details and other Details.
• Paste the Passport Size Photo and Attach the Required Documents.
• After that Submit the Form to the nearest Employment Exchange Office to get Selected under the Scheme.
